Trinity Lutheran welcomes the stranger on Sunday
BRATTLEBORO -- Trinity meets for worship at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 17. The Canaanite woman in Sunday’s gospel is a Gentile, an outsider, who is unflinching in her request that Jesus heal her daughter. As Jesus commends her bold faith, Trinity grapples with how might the church extend its mission to those on the margins of society? In the gathering around word and meal, we receive strength to be signs of comfort, healing, and justice for those in need.
The church is located at 161 Western Ave., Brattleboro, across from Holton Home. Trinity is an Open and Affirming congregation.
