Trio arrested in connection with string of thefts from vehicles around Brattleboro

BRATTLEBORO -- Brattleboro police on Thursday said they've arrested three suspects in connection with a rash of thefts from vehicles in the area.

Following an investigation, James Eric Smith, 35, Arthur Jacobs IV, 18, and Crystal Jobe, 24, all of Brattleboro, were taken into custody on Wednesday, Nov. 13, and cited.

Smith was charged with unlawful trespass, petit larceny, unlawful mischief and credit card fraud. He was held in lieu of $5,000 bail, flash cited to appear in court later today and given conditions of release.

Jacobs and Jobe were each cited with petit larceny, unlawful mischief, and credit card fraud. Both were released on conditions.

Police continue to investigate these crimes and stated that more charges are pending.
