United Way's Kids in Coats fund continues to take donations
BRATTLEBORO >> The Untied Way of Windham County's Kids in Coats fund, which takes the place of the Reformer's Christmas Stocking has collected to date $17,975.55 of its $75,000 goal. Participants in the Kids in Coats fund will receive $100 vouchers to purchase winter clothes from local stores in the fall of this year.
Donations this past week include: Anonymous, $100; Anonymous, $50.00; BEM, $100, Remembering a dear nephew, Paul C. McAuliffe; BEM, $100, Remembering Art Benedict, a valued friend; BEM, $100, Remembering Frank Vara, a good friend; The Pattison Family, $50. Keeping Kids Warm; Employees of GS Precision, $1,962.55; Anonymous, $1,000; Andy and Robin Davis, $100, The children and families of Windham County; Anonymous, $50.
Donations to the Kids in Coats Fund can be made by texting "toasty" to 41444 or by mailing a check made out to UWWC to PO Box 617, Brattleboro, VT 05302 with "coats" in the memo line. Donations can also be dropped off at the Brattleboro Reformer office at 62 Black Mountain Road or the United Way office at 1 Holstein Place, both in Brattleboro, Vermont. UWWC has established a Kids in Coats committee to develop a model that best serves families. Any community member who is interested in assisting is welcome to join.
