Vermont hosting more electric vehicle charging stations
BURLINGTON (AP) - Vermont has two more locations where electric vehicles owners can charge their rides.
On Wednesday, Gov. Peter Shumlin and Burlington Mayo Miro Weinberger highlighted the inauguration of electric car charging station at the Marketplace parking garage and another at the Lakeview garage.
The charger in the Marketplace garage is a Level 3 station capable of the fastest charging time of any commercially-available station.
In the Lakeview Garage, located near two hotels, there are two Level 2 dual-port stations.
The stations were partially funded through the 2014 Downtown Electric Vehicle Charging Station grant program.
There are now a number of charging stations in Burlington.
