Vermont Insight Meditation Center spring courses to begin Monday

BRATTLEBORO -- Vermont Insight Meditation Center is offering several evening courses this spring.

In "Introduction to Insight Meditation" on eight Tuesdays from April 9 to May 27, Cheryl Wilfong will teach using the core text "Insight Meditation" by Sharon Salzberg and Joseph Goldstein.

In "Embracing Change, Embracing Life" on eight Mondays from April 8 to May 27, Wilfong will teach using the core text "Living as a River: Finding Fearlessness in the Face of Change" by Bodhipaksa.

In "The Buddha’s Practice and Neuroscience" on 10 Mondays from April 8 to June 10, Jack Millett and Claire Stanley will teach using the texts "Teachings of a Buddhist Monk" by Ajahn Sumedo and "Buddha’s Brain" by Rick Hanson.

In "Transforming the Mind, Transforming Our Lives" on 10 Tuesdays from April 9 to June 11, Millett will teach using the core text "The Wise Heart" by Jack Kornfield.

In "What Would the Buddha Say? Cultivating Skillful Speech for Life’s Challenging Conversations" on 10 Wednesdays from April 10 to June 12, Manny Mansbach will teach using Buddhist texts, class discussions and experiential exercises.

In "The Essential Teachings of Liberation" on eight Thursdays from April 11 to May 30, Millett and Stanley will teach using the core text "One Dharma" by Joseph Goldstein.
