Vibrant Ensemble to be at the River Garden
The Rivergarden's "Brown Bag Lunch Series" to present Vibrant Ensemble on Monday, April 25, from noon to 1 p.m. This duo is comprised of Percussionist and Gong Specialist Stephan Brandstatter along with multi-instrumentalist and ethnomusicologist Dennis Waring.
Performances consist of improvised compositions played "in the moment" on an intriguing assortment of instruments both ethinic and conventional. The mood is calming, evocative, ethereally soothing and therapeutic.
Dennis plays saxophones, clarinet, a variety of flutes and ocarinas. Stephan plays an array of gongs, chimes, Tibetan bowls, bells, djembe, frame drum, dumbek and more. Based on world music inspirations, Vibrant Ensemble's soundscapes incorporate the ambience of nature, the exoticism of Asia & the Middle East plus the pulsations of Africa and Latin America.
Treat yourself to something unique and special.
