Village Square Booksellers hosts Lange, Dodson

Wednesday November 21, 2012

BELLOWS FALLS -- Author Willem Lange and illustrator Bert Dodson will visit Village Square Booksellers on Saturday at 2 p.m., to discuss and read from their newest collaboration, "The White Footed Mouse." The boy in the book is sure he has the world’s best father, an outdoorsman who shows him the hiding places of ground-nesting birds and teaches him to paddle a canoe and handle a rifle safely. "The White-Footed Mouse" is a delightfully illustrated parable for lovers of nature and the great outdoors and for kids who want to keep their Dads in line.

Lange has published numerous books for adults and children, including "Tales from the Edge of the Woods" and "Favor Johnson," and is well known as a presenter on public television and radio. He lives in East Montpelier.

Dodson is a painter, teacher, author and illustrator. He has illustrated or written more than 80 books, including "Helping Santa: My First Christmas Adventure with Grandma." He lives in West Fairlee and works in his studio in Bradford.

The event will be part of Village Square Booksellers’ Small Business Saturday Celebration. Village Square Booksellers will have "Thanks for Shopping Indie" specials in the store during Small Business Saturday.

Call 802-463-9404 for reservations.
