Reception for Putney School faculty show planned for Friday
PUTNEY -- The Putney School’s biennial Visual Arts Faculty Exhibition runs through Nov. 15, in the Michael S. Currier Center Gallery. There will be an opening reception with music and refreshments this Friday from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Currier Center.
The show features new work by Joseph Fichter, Melissa Johnson, Naomi Lindenfeld, Lynne Weinstein, Gordon Jones, Helen O’Donnell and Susan Brearey. Media include weaving, sculpture, ceramics, photography, painting, and printmaking. All are invited and admission is free. For information, visit www.putneyschool.org.
Watercolor show opens in Newfane
NEWFANE -- An exhibit of work by nine local artists who are members of the Vermont Watercolor Society opens Saturday at the Crowell Gallery at the Moore Free Library, 23 West St., with an artists’ reception from 1 to 3 p.m.
The exhibit features work by Maisie Crowther, Nancy DiMauro, Kathy Greve, Catherine Hatinguais, Peter Jeziorski, Lynn Hoeft, Donna Koutrakos, Molly Martin and Cath Stockbridge, and will run through Oct. 27.
Gallery hours are Tuesday to Friday, 1 to 5 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. For information, e-mail email@example.com.
