W. Chesterfield’s First Universalist to host ‘Bring-A-Friend Sunday’
WEST CHESTERFIELD, N.H. -- The Rev. Arthur Reublinger will lead the First Universalist Church of West Chesterfield in its weekly service on Sunday, Oct. 7, at 10 a.m. His sermon will be "If a Friend Asks You to Dance."
Reublinger’s sermon will compliment the church’s annual "Bring-A-Friend Sunday," when members and guests are invited to bring a family member, friend or neighbor to the service. Reublinger explains, "The importance of friends can hardly be minimized in our lives. Our family members are important, to be sure, but we inherit them and their roles are usually fixed. We choose our friends. Often they are more closely aligned with our specific personal interests and needs. When a good relationship is achieved, it can almost seem that our hearts beat together. A service in celebration of friends and friendship is an opportunity to give thanks for those who are often closest to us."
The community is invited to attend this special service. A children’s religious education class will be offered. Refreshments and fellowship will follow the service. Further information and directions can be found on the church’s website at www.chesterfielduu.org or by calling 603-256-6346.
