Walpole man injured in gas station crash

WESTMORELAND, N.H. (AP) - Police say a car hit a large boulder near a gas station before crashing into some of the pumps in Westmoreland.

Twenty-six-year-old Thristan Coke of Walpole was taken to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. A hospital spokeswoman said he was in satisfactory condition Thursday morning.

New Hampshire State Police say the crash happened after 1 a.m. at Mac's Convenience Store on Route 12.

They said alcohol and speed appear to be factors in the crash, but police are still investigating.

Route 12 was closed from Route 63 to South Village Road for several hours.
