Wells, Linder, Buedinger, Lozito having success
The junior forward found the back of the cage versus Morrisville, Mount Holyoke, and Plymouth State University, while her dimes came against Plymouth State and Rensselaer. She now has 19 goals and 12 assists in her college career.
Wells has started all eight games for the 3-5 Spartans, who will welcome Colby-Sawyer on Saturday at 1 p.m.
Elkanah Linder began the 2017 season with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Gwynedd Mercy University's Natalie Danze at No. 2 singles. She also helped University of the Sciences teammate Danielle Paran to an 8-5 win at second doubles.
The Vermont Academy graduate from Townshend went on to lose to Goldey Beacom's Catarina Zheng 6-0, 6-0 at second singles. She later teamed up with Paran for an 8-5 doubles decision against a Concordia, N.Y. tandem.
The junior now has 18 career doubles victories.
Linder's 1-2 team from Philadelphia will compete in the ITA Regionals in Flushing, N.Y. from Friday to Sunday.
Hanna Buedinger, of Vernon, has 18 assists and 17 digs during her freshman year at Johnson State College.
Her best performances so far have been 10 assists versus Bay Path and then 10 digs against Paul Smith's College. The 0-8 Badgers will compete at Lyndon State College on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
Buedinger, who plays the position of libero on the court, is a Pioneer Valley Regional School graduate.
Colin Lozito, who graduated from Twin Valley, has one goal and one assist for Norwich University this season.
The senior midfielder scored during a 4-0 victory over Rivier. He also set up one tally when the Cadets zipped Southern Vermont 2-0.
Lozito has six goals, 13 assists, and has taken 30 shots on goal during his college career.
Norwich (3-3-1) will host Emmanuel College on Friday at 7 p.m.
