What’s been happening in the lenses of In-Sight students this summer?

BRATTLEBORO - Summer classes began in the week of June 23, which seems like a long time ago now. But it’s also long ago enough that students have had time to produce really good work, and we’re hanging some of it in our gallery for the month of August. We’ll show you work from the Portrait Photography intensive, the Alternative Processes intensive, Intro to Digital Photography class, Exploring Southern Vermont class, Digital Wizardry class, and maybe even from this week’s Selfies intensive. These middle- and high-school youth show us what they see as they bring themselves fully to the camera lens in the way that only youth can. Come see the work, and show that you care what they have to say in their photographs. Sign the guest book, eat some jelly beans, and drop a donation of any size into the gallery box to help us keep up the work.

The Summer Student Show opens at Gallery Walk this Friday, Aug. 1, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Our featured activity at Gallery Walk will be tours of the darkroom on request. The darkroom is the area of our facility that only students and teachers get to experience, but shhhhh... we’ll take you back there at Gallery Walk.

Our great thanks to Stewart Property Management for sponsoring this exhibition! Want to know more about them? www.stewartproperty.net
