Wildcats finish with 15-2 mark

STOWE — Jace Boerger scored early in the second half and the No. 2 Stowe boys soccer team held on for a 1-0 victory over third-seeded Twin Valley in Wednesday's Division 3 semifinal.

The Wildcats had two nice chances in the opening half, including a header off of a corner by Dylan Howe and a point blank volley right at the keeper from Colin McHale. Sam Schoepke made five saves for 14-1-1 Stowe to earn the shutout.

Josh Carpenter-O'Hearn made seven stops for Twin Valley, which finished up with a 15-2 record.
