Williams Street sidewalk work begins today
BRATTLEBORO -- Work on the Williams Street sidewalk replacement starts today. The first step is removal of the old sidewalk and installation of gravel. Residents can continue using their driveways during this work except for a short time while the drive concrete is being removed. Motorists on William Street can expect short delays and restricted traffic where work is taking place.
This project includes the replacement of William Street sidewalk from Elliot Street to Brannan Street. Funding is from the Federal Highway Administration and also includes work on the road once sidewalk is complete. Dave Manning Inc. of Brattleboro is the contractor for the sidewalk work. For questions on this or other projects, please call Public Works at 254-4255.
