Winchester man killed in auto crash Wednesday

WINCHESTER, N.H. -- A 34-year-old Winchester man was killed Wednesday night when the car he was traveling in veered off the road and struck a tree.

According to New Hampshire State Police, Lynn Pickard, 30, was driving a 2009 Toyota Corolla south on Fullam Pond Road at about 10:15 p.m. when he apparently lost control of the vehicle.

The driver was transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center with "serious injuries." His condition was unknown Thursday afternoon.

Lynn’s brother, Terry Pickard, was a passenger in the vehicle, and died from injuries sustained in the crash.

Police are investigating the accident.

In addition to State Police, emergency responders from the Winchester Police and Fire departments assisted at the scene.
