BRATTLEBORO -- Windham Child Care Association is grateful for the momentum provided to their recent spring appeal by a $10,000 matching grant from the Thomas Thompson Trust.

The Association had reached out to its loyal donors who responded to their request to increase their donations in support of the new bookmobile program, the Early Learning Express.

After several successful years of operating under the guidance of Windham County Reads, Windham Child Care Association is excited for the opportunity to incorporate this new program into the fabric of services they offer for the families and children in Windham County.

The donations from community members and the matching grant those donations helped earn will be invaluable as they continue to embed this program into the weekly routines of local child care programs. Emily Walsh, Program Coordinator for the Early Learning Express, has been on the road since May visiting over 30 child care programs each month.

Windham Child Care Association delivers important literacy enrichment activities and resources to the region’s children and the child care programs that serve them.
