Wings of Hope Butterfly Release to take place Sept. 8 in Putney

Friday August 23, 2013

PUTNEY -- The Wings of Hope Butterfly Release is a ceremony of remembrance of former hospice patients that provides a unique opportunity for family members and friends to come together publicly to honor the memory of those who have passed away.

The 4th Annual Wings of Hope Butterfly Release event will be held locally at Landmark College in Putney on Sunday, Sept. 8, from noon to 3 p.m. with a ceremony from 1 to 2 p.m.

All are welcome. There will be live music, local food, inspirational readings, and a memorable tribute honoring those who have passed away.

Every day, the VNAVNH helps individuals and families throughout the region experience peace at the end of life. Every dollar contributes to compassionate, quality care for those in need, provided to all regardless of their ability to pay.

With a donation of $20 one will receive a live butterfly to release and honor a loved one. The event is free and open to the public. It is not necessary to purchase a butterfly to attend.
