Wood is Reformer Athlete of the Week
BRATTLEBORO >> Brattleboro Union High School track star Danielle Wood received 77 votes to earn Reformer Athlete of the Week honors for May 8-14.
Wood won the 200 and finished second in the 100 at the Connecticut Valley Conference Championships in Langdon, N.H. She led the Colonel girls to a team bronze, behind champion Monadnock and runner-up Lebanon.

The Leland & Gray catcher threw out two potential base stealers during her team's 25-11 victory over Twin Valley. She also went 3 for 4 and drove one run in from the lead-off spot.
He finished first in the 100, 200, long jump and triple jump to lead the Brattleboro Union High School boys track team to victory in an eight-school meet at BUHS. Also competing were athletes from Monadnock, MAU, Twin Valley, Rutland, Proctor, Burr and Burton, and Mill River.
He had three hits, including a pair of doubles, to help the Brattleboro varsity baseball team to a 10-1 rout of rival MAU at Tenney Field. The catcher also worked nicely with starting pitcher Ben Betz, who fanned five and scattered six hits to pick up the win.
The Bellows Falls varsity softball player had a couple of hits, including a three-run double, during her team's 14-8 loss to Hartford. The Terriers fell behind by seven runs before rallying back to within 8-7.
