Write Action announces literary contest

Write Action announces its 14th Annual Poetry and Prose Writing Contest. Entries will be judged anonymously. Each category will be judged by an esteemed writer from the tri-state writing community. Judges this year will be: Poetry judge – New Hampshire Poet Laureate Alice Fogel; prose judge – Joyce Marcel; judge for prose and poetry in the youth category – retired head of the BUHS English Department, Nancy Olson.

The first place winners in both categories will be awarded $100, the second place winners $50, and third place winners $25 each, and the opportunity to read at this year's Literary Festival. All entries must be sent by June 30. The theme this year (to be taken broadly) is: "This could be the day!"

Writers may submit up to three pieces of writing (first one is free, $10 for each additional), either poetry or prose, or any combination. There are no fees for the Youth Category. For details visit writeaction.org
