Write Action to hold annual potluck picnic

Posted

GUILFORD >> Write Action will hold its annual picnic this Sunday (raindate Aug. 28) from noon to 4 p.m. on Melendy Hill Road in Guilford. Join with other writers from the area to share good food, participate in an open reading, hear the winning entries of this year's poetry and prose contest, and share your writing news.

There will be an opportunity to sign up to volunteer at the Brattleboro Literary Festival and hear about this year's visiting authors.

The picnic takes place on the grounds of Tom and Nancy Ragles' homestead on Melendy Hill Rd, a right turn just over the little bridge on Rt. 5 in Guilford. Go 6/10 mile to the Ragles' farmhouse. Plenty of parking in the field.

Bring a dish to share, and writing to share. A chair or blanket is helpful. Write Action will supply soft drinks, plates, cups, and utensils. Badminton, croquet and horseshoes will be available.

See you there for an end of summer Hurrah!
