Writers and readers now have a place to meet
Writers and readers rejoice! There is a place to move away from your thoughts and be social. On Thursday nights, the Lounge at Duo Restaurant, 136 Main St., Brattleboro transforms into "The Book Lounge," where poets, writers, and readers mingle and lean into this beautiful profession.
The Book Lounge will be a place to discuss what people are reading in small groups in a casual setting. No pressure to finish a book on time for a 'real' book group and there will always be 'spoiler alerts'!
The Book Lounge is curated by the editors of The Hopper literary magazine and Green Writers Press to foster a social community around the creative arts in a free and social space, where outside writers as well will be invited to participate. Tonight meet and mingle with Dede Cummings, publisher of Green Writers Press and the new literary magazine, The Hopper, Suzanne Kingsbury, writer/editor/founder of Gateless Writing, and local poet Diana Whitney, author of the poetry collection "Wanting It."
