HINSDALE, N.H. — In 2018, under the leadership of Brattleboro Rotary Club President George Weir, members of the Brattleboro Rotary Club did their first major island cleanup as part of the CT River Conservancy Source to Sea project.

Last year, the project attracted other community members, as well as members of the Brattleboro Sunrise Rotary Club. Weir said the members “moved in those two efforts around 20 pickup loads of trash, as much as two tons of trash.”

Weir added: “This year, we are proud to collaborate with the artists from Ask the River to create some beautiful banners to bring the importance of connecting to and caring for our rivers to the wider public.”
