TOWNSHEND — The West River Community Market is accepting orders through Wednesday for this weekend's market. Pick-up times will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, and from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19.

Featured vendor is Keep it Real Organics Farm in Jamaica. Check out their produce and products from pumpkin pie pumpkins, watermelon, hot peppers and tomatoes to salsa verde and shredded zucchini. This week, you can buy bulk tomato seconds, ideal for canning. This week's featured item is Uncle Mac's Banana Bread Muffins from Wren's Grove (GF, dairy free). The produce section features late-summer veggies and fruit, from heirloom tomatoes to watermelon, beets, pumpkins, winter squash, serrano peppers, cabbage, and spinach. New to the market is ground beef, country ribs, and whole chickens. There will also be wood-fired breads, milk, eggs, cheese, hummus, soda bulk items, tinctures, homemade soaps and more.
