PUTNEY — The Grammar School transformed its Putney campus into a medieval village for the school's 33rd annual Medieval Faire on Saturday. Highlights included fencing demonstrations, archery, climbing walls, pony rides, a candy-throwing catapult, live music, a scavenger hunt, and a village market selling food and medieval gifts and crafts. Kids also got to ride a flying dragon and Sir Lancelot's flying horse (on zip lines), view birds of prey from the Southern Vermont Natural History Museum, and play games at Merlin's Midway.
Net proceeds from the Faire go to the school's financial aid fund.
