BRATTLEBORO >> For the second time in two weeks a pedestrian has been hit on the streets of Brattleboro.

The Brattleboro Police Department reports that a 41-year-old pedestrian was struck near Elm and Canal streets at approximately 10:12 p.m. The police say the driver left the scene before emergency responders showed up and the police are treating the crash as a hit and run. The pedestrian, whose name is not being released, was taken to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to a press release.

The police are investigating the crime and say charges are expected to be filed soon.

The police are asking anyone who might have seen the crash to contact the Brattleboro Police Department.

On Wednesday a pedestrian was struck on Flat Street at around 4:19 p.m. and Todd Maskell, 42, of Brattleboro was later arrested for leaving the scene of an accident, driving after suspension and driving under the influence.

The victim of Wednesday's crash was taken to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital and later released.

• The Brattleboro Police Department responded to a Main Street business for a trespassing report. As a result, Michael Monette, 38, and Daniel Silverman, 44, both of Brattleboro, were cited with unlawful trespass.

• The Brattleboro Police Department cited Christopher Loesby, 33, of Brattleboro, with violating his court ordered conditions of release.

July 15

• At 5:30 p.m., the Vermont State Police conducted a motor vehicle stop in northbound Interstate 91 in Brattleboro. As a result, Kevin G. Collins, 53, of Marlboro, was arrested and cited with operating a vehicle with a criminally suspended license.

• At 2:55 p.m., the Vermont State Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on northbound Interstate 91 in Westminster. As a result, Ann Keen, 63, of Greenfield, Mass., was arrested and cited with driving under the influence. A roadside breath analysis resulted in a blood alcohol content reading of .242 percent.

• The Brattleboro Police Department arrested John G. Cleary III, 50, of Wardsboro, and cited him with driving under the influence.

• The Vermont State Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 121 in Saxtons River. As a result, Jenifer Cook, 28, of Putney, was cited with operating a vehicle with a criminally suspended license.

July 16

• The Brattleboro Police Department cited Jonathan Lavoie, 28, with violating his court ordered conditions of release.

• At 8:15 p.m., the Vermont State Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Williams Street in Brattleboro. As a result, Jessica Rose, 27, and Esau Jones, 25, both of Brattleboro, and Josiah Knight, 52, of Boston, Mass., were arrested. Rose and Jones were cited with possession of heroin and Knight was cited with being a fugitive from justice.

July 17

• The Brattleboro Police Department cited Kathiana Cancel, 26, and Carl Bezanson, 28 both of Brattleboro, were cited following an dispute on Western Avenue.
