BRATTLEBORO — If field hockey star Sadie Scott is able to earn The Marina’s prize, she will likely be looking the menu over closely in search of her favorite dessert (raspberry chocolate chip ice cream).

The junior forward is going up against eight other Sam’s Outdoor Outfitters and Brattleboro Reformer Athlete of the Week winners, including a football player who wore the No. 5 jersey for good reason and a soccer standout known as “Van-tastic.”

In order to participate, simply select your choice on the poll by Nov. 21 at 1 p.m. The nine who are eligible for Athlete of the Fall honors are shown below, along with why they were originally nominated.

Sadie Scott tallied with just two seconds left in overtime, assisted by Emma Bazin, to give the BF Stickers a thrilling 1-0 win over Colchester in a Division 1 quarterfinal.

Rin Woodcock placed 34th overall in a time of 19:43 to lead the Brattleboro Union High School varsity boys cross-country team at the Connecticut Valley Conference meet.

Trey Corey tallied once and also set up a goal when the Hinsdale varsity boys soccer team nipped Mount Royal 3-2.

Eli Allbee scored three touchdowns to propel the Terriers past Spaulding on the gridiron.

Erika Favreau scored in overtime, assisted by Emma Gragen, to give the Brattleboro Stickers a thrilling 3-2 win over Springfield.

Caden Haskell scored four touchdowns to lead the Bellows Falls varsity football team to an easy 43-7 rout of Union-32.

Ozzie VanHendrick found the back of the net four times for the Colonels in the opening round of the John James Tournament.

Finch Holmes tallied twice when the Leland & Gray varsity boys soccer team outscored Bellows Falls 4-0.

Cole Moore sacked the quarterback three times and also caught two passes to help the Bellows Falls varsity football team past Brattleboro 28-14 in a Division 2 semifinal.
