BRATTLEBORO — Brendan Connelly and Katie Cross each finished first in the Kindergarten-and-under sliding portion of the 1993 Winter Carnival Junior Olympics that were held at Living Memorial Park and sponsored by the Brattleboro Recreation Department.

Josh Armacost and Kiera Robinson each rode their sled to victory in the Grades 1-2 division. Jeremy Cox and Shannon Connelly were the Grades 3-4 champions.

In the Grades 5-6 boys sliding race, those that reached the podium were: P.J. Gustofson (1st), Travis Wheeler (2nd) and Adam DiPerna (3rd).
