WINDSOR — Brattleboro’s Nolan Holmes won Saturday’s cross-country race on Windsor’s 3.3-mile course in a time of 21:12.

Sam Freitas-Eagan (4th in 22:26), Max Lampe (5th in 22:33), Jonah Bingham (6th in 22:52) and Oskar Lehnartz (8th in 23:30) rounded out the top five for the Colonels.

Hazel Wagner (25:58) and Caitlyn Robinson (26:09) placed third and fourth respectively to power the Colonel girls. Cearra O’Hern followed in eighth, Priya Kitzmiller took 11th, and Addison DeVault wound up in 12th.

Female champion Rachel Horner-Richardson was clocked in 23:28.

Field Hockey

KEENE, N.H. — The Keene varsity field hockey team tallied twice in the fourth quarter to beat visiting Brattleboro 2-0 on Saturday.

“I’m really proud of the all-around effort that Brattleboro showed. They never gave up,” stated first-year BUHS coach Erin Cooke.

Brittney Wright made 21 saves for the Colonels.

“She’s been killing it and tracked the ball well all day,” noted Cooke.

Kaylyn Trubiano and Jaden Greenwald did the scoring for the Blackbirds.

Girls Soccer

TOWNSHEND — Carly Lane and Ayla Ryan were honored on Senior Day before Leland & Gray fell to Green Mountain 2-1.

Makaila Morse made 10 saves for the hosts. Abby Towle scored from 25 yards out for the Rebels.

Riley Paul and Kim Cummings each found the back of the net for the Chieftains.

Cross Country

TOWNSHEND — James Pecsok is the coach of the Leland & Gray team this season. Running for the Rebels are: Peter Broussard, Abby Hazelton, Emma O’Brien, Alex Parker-Jennings, Nick Petronic, Raena Sanderson, Emma Stover and Micheala Stillwagon.
