KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Kyle Murphy won the U.S. National Cycling Road Race on Sunday.

The Townshend resident had the advantage of having several Human Powered Health teammates with him with three kilometers remaining. He did the final climb with a huge gap and coasted to victory.

Murphy completed the 17 total laps in a time of 4:27:48. Rounding out the top five were: Tyler Stites (4:27:51), Magnus Sheffield (4:27:51), Benjamin King (4:27:53) and Luke Lamperti (4:27:53).
