A Night of True Stories
In the spirit of National Public Radio's The Moth Radio Hour, friends and neighbors will entertain with tales of pathos, mirth, adventure, loss, fright and all the emotions in between. Stories are told live on stage without scripts, notes, props or accompaniment.
Scheduled storytellers are MSA Director Heather Geoffrey, Connie Connors, actor Marit Bjerkadal, Vermont Academy student Devin Goldstein, craftsman Toby Lampert and artist and educator Jennifer Meehl.
The event is a fundraiser for Main Street Arts in a cabaret setting with refreshments. Tickets are $15.
The Peabody Award-winning NPR show is now in its 10th year and airs on more than 200 stations nationwide.
"Storytelling, likely the oldest art, is revered and reinvigorated by this hour for everyday raconteurs," wrote the Peabody judges in making the award.
