A Thanksgiving Tradition: Volunteers serve up annual holiday meal

BRATTLEBORO — Think planning and preparing a family holiday meal is a handful? Organizers of Brattleboro's 45th annual Community Thanksgiving fed some 600 people and delivered 150 more home meals on Thursday. Cooking at downtown's Masonic Lodge and serving at the nearby St. Michael School, 100 volunteers offered up 50 turkeys, 30 hams and plenty of vegetarian and vegan options from noon until 5 p.m.
