Adaptive Sports appoints new executive director
WEST DOVER — Pam Green, a local resident, has been named executive director of Adaptive Sports at Mount Snow. She brings 35 years of ski school experience, the past 13 years as a senior manager at Adaptive Sports Foundation in Windham, N.Y.
In this newly created position at ASMS, her focus will be directing strategic and long-term organizational planning and will include an emphasis in fundraising. She will work alongside Program Director Tera Adams and Assistant Director Yuri Czmola to support the strategic growth of the program and program delivery.
Green brings years of experience to the position. She has been a Special Olympics Ski Coach & Trainer since 2008 and a Blaze Sports Certified Disability Sports Specialist Level 2 since 2014. She holds certifications as a registered 200-hour yoga instructor, International Mountain Bike Association Level 1 Ride Guide, American Canoe Association, Level 2 Coastal Kayak Instructor and Adaptive Kayak Endorsement.
She has also been an Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) Alpine Examiner since 1997, and is a leader in the ski industry and in the PSIA-East. She conducts educational clinics and certification exams for ski instructors throughout the East. Green has also been a staff trainer for the Mount Snow Ski and Snowboard school.
Compiling a diverse background, Green has been a successful small business owner as well as volunteering for her alma mater, Phillips Exeter Academy. For over a decade she has been familiar with responsibilities that include fundraising, reunion planning, and public speaking.
Green lives in Wilmington with her husband, Rob Lawrence, a former ASMS Board Member, and their two golden retrievers. Her official start date was Sept. 3.
Adaptive Sports at Mount Snow is a non-profit sports, recreation and educational organization providing year-round opportunities for individuals with challenges.
