Announcing auditions for 'Art'

BRATTLEBORO — Auditions will be held for "Art," directed by Bill Wieliczka, on Wednesday, at 6 p.m., in the Brattleboro Union High School Auditorium. Enter from the auditorium doors. 131 Fairground Road.

In this comedy, one of three friends buys a painting that soon begins to strain the very fabric of their relationship. Their arguments soon become less about theory and philosophy of "what is art?" and more about their personal short comings.

While this play is about three men, it reads well with any mix of genders or ethnicities and so we encourage all actors to audition for the following roles:

Age range 25 to 45. Serge: Wants his friends to share in the joy of his purchase; Marc: Thinks the purchase was foolish; Yvan: Wishes things would stay the same. Show dates are Sept. 28, 29, 30 and Oct. 5, 6, 7 at the Hooker Dunham Theater in Brattleboro.

If unavailable to audition at the scheduled time, contact Bill Wieliczka via a private message through Facebook or email him at to make other arrangements.
