Annual Walk for Amber set for Sunday

BRATTLEBORO -- The seventh annual Walk for Amber will be held on Sunday, June 3.

Amber Bernier was loved and treasured by many people and in an effort to honor her memory, friends and family have organized a day of remembrance. At noon, there will be a walk-a-thon, beginning at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital. Registration begins at 11 a.m. The walk will be approximately five (rather easy) miles. There will be a pasta dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. at the First Congregational Church at 880 Western Ave. in West Brattleboro.

Entera Artisanal Catering, along with friends and family will provide the meal. Homemade desserts and salads will complement the meal.

Musical entertainment will be provided by Daniel Kaznitz and Addison Rice, and the a cappella group, Renegade.

Tickets for the dinner will be available at the door with a suggested donation of $10 per adult and $5 per child. A raffle and prize drawing will take place at the dinner.

This will be a day for the community to remember and celebrate Amber's life. All proceeds from the walk-a-thon, dinner, and raffle will go to the Amber Bernier Scholarship Fund. Any questions or take-out food orders may be directed to Amber's parents, Deb and Dan, at 802-257-1548.
