Ayotte, Ravens win first 3 games

BRATTLEBORO — Brattleboro Union High School graduate Megyn Ayotte has appeared in two games for the Franklin Pierce women's lacrosse team, which has started the season with victories over St. Thomas Aquinas, American International and Southern New Hampshire.

Ayotte reached the 100-goal milestone in her high school career, helping the Colonels to a 14-4 record and the No. 2 seed in the Division 1 Tournament as a senior. Her free-position goal was the difference in her team's quarterfinal victory over Rutland in double overtime.

The midfielder racked up 64 goals, 18 assists, 81 ground balls and 78 draw controls last spring. She was also selected as an All-American.

Franklin Pierce will host Dominican (N.Y.) on Sunday at 1 p.m.
