Baker Street Readers bring Sherlock Holmes to life


BRATTLEBORO — The Baker Street Readers bring mystery to Brattleboro once again in another dramatic reading from "The Adventure of Sherlock Holmes."

To Sherlock Holmes she is always the woman. To everyone else, she is Irene Adler, the prima donna and adventuress. Holmes has been charged by a masked nobleman to track Ms Adler down and win back from her a treasured possession, one that's mere existence threatens... "A Scandal in Bohemia."

"A Scandal in Bohemia" is one of Arthur Conan Doyle's most well-remembered stories. In this one story, the great detective's female foe cemented herself as an enduring and beloved part of the Holmes legend.

The Baker Street Readers include James Gelter as Sherlock Holmes and Tony Grobe as Dr. Watson with special guest Olivia McNeely as Irene Adler.
