BF girls aiming for 10th straight win

WEST RUTLAND — After an 0-4 start, the Bellows Falls varsity girls basketball team has reeled off wins over Twin Valley, Arlington, Hartford, Mill River, MSJ, Green Mountain, Leland & Gray, Rivendell, and Brattleboro.

The Terriers (9-4) will play at undefeated West Rutland (13-0) on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.

The Golden Horde defeated MSJ 50-31 on Saturday, behind 6-1 center Elizabeth Bailey's 18 points. Six-footer Isabell Lanfear followed with seven points, while Madison Guay and Kiana Grabowski added six points apiece.

Bellows Falls nearly blew an 18-point lead on Wednesday night in Brattleboro, but held on for a 57-50 victory over the Division 1 Colonels. Taylor Goodell, Halle Dickerson, Molly Potter and Maya Waryas all scored in double figures for the winners.

The Terriers enter this contest ranked sixth in Division 3, behind Lake Region, Windsor, Peoples Academy, Thetford and Oxbow. West Rutland is atop the Division 4 standings.
