Boyd voted Reformer Athlete of the Week

BRATTLEBORO — Brattleboro Union High School field hockey player Kharisma Boyd received 113 votes to earn Reformer Athlete of the Week honors for Oct. 15-21.

She scored the only goal of the game when the Colonels nipped Burr and Burton 1-0 to qualify for the Division 2 playoffs.

Boyd joins BF's Logan Cota, Abbe Cravinho and Sophia Hyslop; Brattleboro's Brenden Gilbeau and Tyler Millerick; and Hinsdale's Delaney Wilcox as fall 2017 winners. Her prize is two free games of bowling at Brattleboro Bowl, which has a total of 20 lanes and opens at 1 p.m. every day.

Delaney Bullock

The Putney School cross-country runner won the Division 3 girls state championship race in a time of 20:00 on Saturday in Thetford.

Jack McHale

He scored the game-winning goal with just 28 seconds remaining, off of a Dylan Howe throw-in, to lift the third-seeded Twin Valley boys soccer team to a 1-0 win over BFA-Fairfax in Saturday's Division 3 quarterfinal.

Natalya Forkin

After earning a shutout in a playdown victory over Springfield, the Brattleboro field hockey team's goalie made 14 saves during a 3-2 quarterfinal loss to No. 2 Spaulding.

Ellie Longo

The Leland & Gray soccer player had a hat trick during regulation and then made three saves in the shootout, helping the Rebel girls to a thrilling 4-3 decision over Randolph in a first-round playoff game.

Halle Dickerson

The defender made a couple of highlight clears, dribbling the ball out of danger each time, as the Bellows Falls field hockey team blanked Middlebury 6-0 in a Division 2 quarterfinal.
