Bratt robbery suspect held on similar charges in NH

WINCHESTER, N.H. — A Brattleboro man who has been charged with robbery for holding a man at gunpoint on Elliot Street on Nov. 9 is now in the custody of New Hampshire.

According to a news release from the Winchester Police Department, John "Johnny" Green, 18, is suspected of a robbery and assault that happened at 9:30 p.m. on Nov. 3 at a residence on Warwick Road. According to the press release, during the incident, Green displayed a firearm and threatened the complainant with it. The complainant identified the suspect as Green, who fled the scene with various clothing items and an undetermined amount of cash.

On Nov. 11, Green and Drake A. Smith, also 18, were arrested by the Brattleboro Police Department and cited with armed robbery after holding a man at gunpoint on Nov. 9 and stealing "an item" from him. The victim was not injured in the incident.

Green was arraigned in Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division, in Brattleboro, on Nov. 12, after which he was taken into custody by officers with the Winchester Police Department.

He has been charged in Cheshire County Superior Court with robbery, first degree assault, criminal threatening, reckless conduct and criminal restraint.
