Brattleboro 19U baseball team beats Bellows Falls 9-7

DUMMERSTON — Brattleboro stole nine total bases and opened the 19U Vermont Summer Baseball League with a 9-7 victory over Bellows Falls on Thursday.

Zinabu McNeice picked up the win in relief. The save was credited to Adam Newton.

Chris Frost, Alex Kendall and Aaron Petrie all had one hit for the winners. Frost drove in three runs, while Newton and Petrie added one RBI each.

Griffin Waryas had a couple of hits and McGregor Vancor drove in four runs to pace 1-1 Bellows Falls, which had defeated White River Junction 4-2 on Wednesday in Westminster.
