Brattleboro boys lose to rival

BENNINGTON — The Brattleboro Union High School varsity boys soccer team was defeated by rival Mount Anthony Union, 4-2, on Wednesday.

"We improved a lot from the first game," said BUHS coach Paul Sather, adding that midfielders Jack Price and Gus Williams created some scoring chances. "Just an all-around team effort. It was a really good step forward for this team."

David Chorlton tallied twice for the winners. Randy Armstrong and Emiliano Salazar also found the back of the net.

Damian Dierkes and Jackson Buettner did the scoring for the 0-2 Colonels, who will face Woodstock on Friday.
