Brattleboro harriers debut Sept. 4

BRATTLEBORO — The Brattleboro Union High School varsity cross-country team will debut at Bellows Falls in the annual Russ Pickering meet on Sept. 4 at 4:45 p.m.



The BUHS boys placed sixth in last year's state championship meet. Isaac Freitas-Eagan finished fifth in the Division 1 race, while Trevor Kipp (29th), Colin Costa-Walsh (36th), Bram Tabachnik (52nd) and Evan Koch (56th) rounded out the team's top five.



The Colonel girls ended up seventh at the state meet, behind Champlain Valley Union, Burlington, Saint Johnsbury, Essex, Mount Mansfield and Colchester. Sarah Gallagher (7th), Emilia Dick-Fiora del Fabro (37th), Annie Takacs (40th), Alexandra Miskovich (50th) and Liz Morse (67th) did the scoring for Brattleboro.



Brattleboro will play host on Oct. 2, with the eight-team meet scheduled to begin at 4:45 p.m.

Sept. 18 — at Mount Anthony Union, 4:30 p.m.

Oct. 2 — host meet, 4:45 p.m.

Oct. 6 — at Thetford, 10 a.m.

Oct. 9 — at Burr and Burton, 4:45 p.m.

Oct. 12 — at CVC meet, 4 p.m.

Oct. 16 — at Bellows Falls (MVL meet), 3:30 p.m.

Oct. 28 — at state meet, 10 a.m.
