Brattleboro Memorial welcomes new clinician to Putney Family Healthcare
PUTNEY — Brattleboro Memorial Hospital welcomes Certified Family Nurse Practitioner Anna Olivier, APRN, to Putney Family Healthcare.
Olivier grew up in Putney where she attended and graduated from Putney Central School, and then Brattleboro Union High School. Olivier received her Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Mass., and her Master of Science degree in nursing from Yale School of Nursing in New Haven, Conn. She recently moved back to Putney where she resides with her husband Sam Quintal, and their two young daughters.
"It was a lifelong goal of mine to return to Vermont to practice medicine in my hometown," Olivier said.
Olivier has been a full-time family nurse practitioner for the past 10 years. Most recently she was the first nurse practitioner hired to join the University of Pennsylvania's Department of Family Medicine and Community Health, where she provided primary care to a panel of 1100
patients. Olivier is accepting patients of all ages — babies, children, and adults — and has additional training and experience in breastfeeding medicine and primary care for the LGBTQ+ community.
"We are happy to welcome Anna and her family back to Putney," says Eilidh Pederson, chief operating officer at BMH. "BMH and Putney Family Healthcare are fortunate to add such an accomplished clinician to our staff, and we know that her skills and experience will be an asset to our community."
In her free time, Olivier enjoys knitting and sewing and loves outdoor activities of all kinds. She competed at the national level in collegiate rowing and cycling during college and graduate school.
Putney Family Healthcare is at 79 Main St. To learn more or to schedule an appointment, call BMH Centralized Scheduling Department at 802-251-8777.
