Brattleboro teams finish 2nd on trails
Sarah Gallagher was the runner-up in 22:44 to lead the Colonel girls and teammate Bella Takacs wound up ninth in 24:29. Bellows Falls struck gold, Burr and Burton earned bronze, host Woodstock finished fourth, and Thetford placed fifth.
Abby Broadley won the girls race in 22:34 to lead Bellows Falls to the crown. Stephanie Ager (23:08) finished fourth for the Terriers and Lia Clark (23:43) was sixth.
The host Wasps won the boys team title. Brattleboro took the silver, Bellows Falls earned the bronze, and BBA ended up in fourth.
Woodstock's Riley Shepherd (19:28) and Owen Coates (20:17) were the first two across the line. Finn LaMorder (20:39) and Bram Tabachnick (22:20) placed fourth and ninth, respectively, to lead the Colonels. Tim Salter-Roy (20:56) finished fifth and Ian Wallace (21:37) took seventh for the Terriers.
WINCHESTER, N.H. — Solomon Brow won the Super Stocks race on Saturday night at Monadnock Speedway.
The Vernon resident went three wide on lap 13 to take the lead. Tyler Leary finished second in the race to lock up the division championship.
Vernon's Hillary Renaud finished 16th in the Thunder Stocks event. Brattleboro's Pat Houle ended up 16th in the Mini Stocks heat.
