Brattleboro XC teams shine in Bennington

BENNINGTON — Finn LaMorder placed fourth overall in a time of 19:32 to lead the Brattleboro boys cross-country team to a gold medal in Tuesday's race at Willow Park.

The Colonels had five runners in the top 12 and ended up with 33 points. Rutland (62 points), Burr and Burton (65), and host Mount Anthony Union (77) were next in line.

Bram Tabachnik (6th in 19:37), Ben Berkson-Harvey (7th in 19:46) and Nolan Holmes (9th in 20:09) also finished in the top 10 for the purple and white. Mill River's Brogan Giffin won the race in 17:09.

Liara Foley took the 3.1-mile girls race in 20:32 to lead Burr and Burton to a team title with 18 points. The Colonels earned silver with 47 points.

Caitlyn Robinson placed ninth in 24:46 to power Brattleboro.
