BRATTLEBORO — Solomon Brow of Vernon collected his fifth consecutive win dating back to the end of the 2018 season and second in row this year, taking the checkered flag in the Late Model Sportsman division on Saturday night at Monadnock Speedway in Winchester, N.H.

Brow again used the pole position to establish his lead at the start of the 25-lap event and ran green to checkers for a second week for the win. Veteran Dennis Stange of Athol, Mass., collected the second spot at the checkers, and defending series champion Tyler Leary of Hatfield, Mass., rolled into third.

Also prevailing in Week 2 were Joel Monahan (Sportsman Modified), Kevin McKnight (Mini Stocks), Chris Davis (Pure Stocks), and Jake Puchalski (Young Guns).

Brow is currently atop the Late Model Sportsman standings with 100 points, with Stange and Leary each just six points back in a tie for second. Vernon's Hillary Renaud is currently seventh in the Street Stock class, while Vernon's Pat Houle is sitting ninth in the Mini Stock division.

The action will heat up again on June 8 when the very competitive Valenti Modified Racing Series joins the NASCAR Whelan All American series regulars at Monadnock Speedway. The VMRS will highlight the night's racing in a 100-lap event. Qualifying will begin at 6 p.m.
