BUHS football team to begin practicing Aug. 12

BRATTLEBORO — Brattleboro Union High School varsity football will start with equipment pickup on Aug. 11. Incoming seniors will lead off at noon, incoming juniors will follow at 1 p.m., incoming sophomores will go next at 2 p.m., and incoming freshmen will get their equipment at 3 p.m.

Varsity football practice for seniors, juniors and sophomores will start on Aug. 12, with the double sessions that week going from 7-10 a.m. and then 4-6 p.m. There will also be a mandatory parent meeting on Aug. 12 in the Multi Purpose Room at 7 p.m.

The freshmen will start practicing on Aug. 19 from 4-6 p.m.

The Colonels, who are now in Division 2, will start out with a scrimmage at Keene on Aug. 23 at 6 p.m. Their regular season schedule is shown below.

Aug. 30 — at Bellows Falls, 7 p.m.

Sept. 7 — at Windsor, 1 p.m.

Sept. 13 — host U-32, 7 p.m.

Sept. 20 — host North Country, 7 p.m.

Sept. 27 — host Mount Abraham, 7 p.m.

Oct. 5 — at Spaulding, 6 p.m.

Oct. 11 — host Fair Haven, 7 p.m.

Oct. 18 — at Mount Anthony Union, 7 p.m.
