Christmas Stocking Bazaar
Since its inception in 1956, the Women’s Fellowship bazaar has been a hallmark of the beginning of the holiday season in the village. Proceeds go to various missions of the fellowship and the church
The bazaar takes place in the large dining room in the basement of the church, with entrance from the rear parking lot or side door.
Features of the event are a Pantry Shelf Food Table with homemade apple pies and other food items; an Arts and Crafts Table with handmade items such as holiday decorations, mittens, hats and scarves; a jewelry table with recycled treasures; a Time and Talents list offering goods and services donated by community members for a fee; and a Santa’s Nook with special activities for children and holiday cookie decorating.
A tea room known for its homemade cinnamon rolls also serves a lunch of corn chowder, sandwiches, Jello salad, pie and beverages.
A silent auction of donated items and a raffle of 150 gallons of fuel oil or propane donated by Cota & Cota round out the bazaar.
