- The following area students were named to the Dean's List for the 2019 fall semester at Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y.: Spencer Fowler of South Londonderry, and Grace MacFadyen of East Dover. Students must earn a GPA of at least 3.5 for this honor.

- Gabrel Vanni-Phillips, of Newfane, was named to the Provost's List for the 2019 fall semester at Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y. Students must earn a perfect 4.0 GPA for this honor.

- Lucia Turino, of Putney, was named to the College Trustees' List for the 2019 fall semester at Chyamplain College in Burlington. Students must earn a 4.0 GPA for two or more consecutive semesters for this honor.

- Skye O. Rhomberg, of Putney, has been named to the Dean's List for the 2019 fall semester at Colby College in Waterville, Maine. Students must earn a a GPA of 3.75 or higher for this honor. Rhomberg, a member of the Class of 2022, attended Compass School and is the son of Eric Rhomberg and Elizabeth Allen of Putney.

- Hailee Mattson, of Dummerston, has been named to the Dean's List for the 2019 fall semester at Champlain College in Burlington. Students must earn a GPA of at least 3.5 for this honor.

- Jacqueline Elliott, of Brattleboro, has earned a Bachelor of Science in computer science from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta.

- The following area students were named to the Dean's List for the 2019 fall semester at the University of Hartford in West Hartford, Conn.: Samantha Lynch of Hinsdale, N.H.; Adam Culver of Grafton; Skyler Nupp of Newfane; Silas Holmes of Wardsboro; Owen Rounds of Westminster; Samuel Thibault of Williamsville; Morgen Janovsky of Wilmington.

- The following area students were named to the Dean's List for the 2019 fall semester at Emerson College in Boston: Tuckerman Wunderle of Bellows Falls, majoring in writing, Lit & Pub: Literature, and a member of the class of 2021; and Maxwell Spicer of South Newfane, majoring in sports communication, and a member of the class of 2022. Students must earns a GPA of 3.7 or higher for this honor.

- The following area students were named to the Dean's List for the 2019 fall semester at Endicott College in Beverly, Mass.: Paige Starkweather, liberal studies/education, daughter of Peter and Paula Starkweather of Brattleboro; Whitley Neumeister, marketing communication, daughter of Jason and Meghan Neumeister of Vernon. Students must earn a GPA of 3.5 or greater for this honor.

- The following area students were named to the Dean's List for the 2019 fall semester at the University of Rhodes Island in Kingston, R.I.: Preston Stachelek of Stratton, and Chulie Vinton of Brattleboro. Students must earn a GPA of 3.3 or higher for this honor.

- The following area residents have earned their degree from Western Governors University in Salt Lake City, Utah: Constance White, of Putney, earned a Bachelor of Science nursing degree; Lisa Young of Vernon earned a Bachelor of Science nursing degree.

- Anika R. Kapral, of Dummerston, has been named to the Dean's List for the 2019 fall semester at Saint Michael's College in Colchester, Vt. Kapral is a first-year student biology major and a graduate of Vermont Academy.

- Caya Greenspan-Layman, of Wilmington, was named to the Dean's List for the 2019 fall semester at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pa. Students must earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher for this honor.

- Vincent Robert Polhemus, of Bondville, was named to the Dean's List for the 2019 fall semester at Norwich University in Norwich, Vermont. Students must earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher for this honor.

- Heather J. Humphrey-Leclaire, of Brattleboro, has been awarded a PhD in Leadership and Change from Antioch University. Her dissertation, "Therapists Who Specialize in Addiction: A Grounded Situational Analysis of a Stigmatized Profession," can be found at https://aura.antioch.edu/etds/540/. Prior to her academic work with Antioch University's Graduate School of Leadership and Change, Humphrey-Leclaire received her undergraduate degree from Marlboro College and her graduate degree from Antioch University New England. Dr. Humphrey-Leclaire currently works as a therapist who specializes in addiction, is the clinical supervisor for Starting Now, and an outpatient therapist for the Anna Marsh Behavioral Clinic at the Brattleboro Retreat.

- Sophia Cardini, of Saxtons River, has been named to the Dean's List for the 2019 fall semester at Emmanuel College in Boston. Students must earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher for this honor.

- The following area students were named to the Dean's List for the 2019 fall semester at at Western New England University in Springfield, Mass.: Tylynn R. Kuralt, of Brattleboro, is working toward a BSE in biomedical engineering; Elizabeth Marie Arel, of Whitingham, is working toward a BA in psychology.
