- The following area students have been named to the President's List for the 2020 spring semester at Western New England University in Springfield, Mass.: Tylynn Kuralt, of Brattleboro, is graduating with a BSE in biomedical engineering; Tyler Clement, of Vernon, is graduating with a BSE in electrical engineering. Students must earn a GPA of 3.8 or higher for this honor.

- Elizabeth Marie Arel, of Whitingham, was named to the Dean's List for the 2020 spring semester at Western New England University in Springfield, Mass. Students must earn a GPA of at least 3.3 for this honor.

- The following area students have been named to the President's List for the 2020 spring semester at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Ala.:

- Mary Ellis, of Vernon, was named to the President's List for the 2020 spring semester at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Students must earn a GPA of at least 4.0 for this honor.

- Ava Zizza, of Wilmington, was named to the President's List for the 2020 spring semester at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Students must earn a GPA of at least 3.5 for this honor.

- The following area students have been named to the Dean's List for the 2020 spring semester at Fairfield University in Fairfield, Conn.: Katharine Taggard, of Brattleboro; Matthew Boggio of Hinsdale, N.H. Students must earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher for this honor.

- Putney native and University of Rhode Island graduate student Miles Schelling, with the help of the Christianson Grant from InterExchange, has embarked on a journey to India to work with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) to give access to clean water to the remote village of Nersa. Schelling's work in this 300-person community helps villagers gain access to clean water, making the community healthier and stopping water-related illnesses.

- The following area students were named to the Trustees' List for the 2020 spring semester at Champlain College in Burlington: Kaya Mulligan of South Londonderry, majoring in social work; Jay Lagace-Hazeltine of Chesterfield, N.H., majoring in cybersecurity. Students must earn a GPA of 4.0 for this honor.

- Patrick R. Lierle, of Putney, has been named to the Dean's List for the 2020 spring semester at Boston University. Students must earn a GPA of at least 3.5 for this honor.
